What’s on the menu:
As part of the hotel’s Party Nights season, head chef Darren Foster is rustling up some hearty winter fare. Among the options are carrot soup to start, followed by roasted loin of pork, then a dessert of duo chocolate torte with spiced chocolate sauce.
Where: The 18th-century Mansion House (capacity 470).
We love it because… this is fine-but-robust fare – perfect for a chilly day!

What’s on the menu: As part of its Christmas Party Nights season, head chef Vincent Duffy presents a traditional affair with a local twist, offering roast County Down turkey and ham with seasonal stuffing, chipolata sausages and cranberry sauce. And if Christmas pud doesn’t appeal, try the white chocolate and cranberry bavarois – a deliciously creamy mousse-like dessert.
Where: Oak Room restaurant (capacity 200).
We love it because… it’s a great classic choice.

What’s on the menu: Young chef Nick Fisher has created two amazing, exclusive five-course Christmas-party menus. The first includes the likes of terrine of duck and a velouté of celeriac, quail egg and truffle; while the second includes gravadlax tartar of salmon and pan-roasted guinea fowl. Both are rounded off with organic coffee and mince pies.
Where: The Windsor and Eton Suite (capacity 280), Hyperion Restaurant (capacity 60) or the Park and Ascot Suite (capacity 70).
We love it because… there’s not a turkey drumstick in sight!

What’s on the menu: For a contemporary lunch or dinner, tuck into the likes of a tortellini in creamy bacon and onion sauce starter, then choose from roast turkey, escallop of salmon, medallions of pork, or lasagnette with Mediterranean vegetables, and round off with desserts such as plum and almond tart with cinnamon cream.
Where: RBG Bar & Grill (capacity of 90, with mezzanine an additional 35).
We love it because… there’s a great choice that’ll please everyone.

What’s on the menu: Carrot and coriander soup, game terrine or smoked salmon salad kick things off on this Christmas menu, before offering up sirloin steak or baked filet of cod if turkey doesn’t pull your cracker. Finally, there’s Christmas pudding with a compote of berry and rum sauce, poached pear or cheese and biscuits to finish.
Where: Abbey’s Restaurant (capacity 40).
We love it because… it’s a tasty and original alternative to the traditional turkey.

What’s on the menu: Expect potato, truffle and chive soup among the starters on its dinner menu, mains such as confit of belly pork and desserts including pineapple tarte Tatin, crème brûlée or chocolate tart with café latte sauce.
Where: Tides Restaurant (capacity 80).
We love it because… it’s a lovely Continental twist.

What’s on the menu: Among the options here, you could have smoked chicken and pancetta Caesar salad, followed by fillet of sea bass, and vanilla cheesecake with a mango and Cointreau coulis completing the meal, along with tea or coffee and mints.
Where: Cloisters Restaurant (capacity 80).
We love it because… it’s a great choice for those not wanting anything too heavy.

What’s on the menu: Chef Darren Long is cooking up a feast of salmon, haddock and leek pressing (which is similar to a terrine), followed by roast turkey, pigs in blankets, stuffing and jus, with a sticky toffee and cranberry pudding with butterscotch custard for dessert and not forgetting the mince pies and coffee – for those that still have room!
Where: Courtyard Suite (capacity 150).
We love it because… it’s all the trimmings, and then some.

What’s on the menu: The Queens is all about choices. Will it be the chicken liver and brandy parfait or fan of melon to begin with? Should you go classic roast turkey or something different, like the onion and goat’s cheese tartlet for the main? How about Christmas pudding for the dessert – or should that be the chocolate torte? One thing’s for sure: whatever you go for, it’ll be delicious!
Where: Palm Court (capacity 150) and John Charles Suite (capacity 100).
We love it because… the choices are difficult – but worth it!

What’s on the menu: New executive chef Xavier Mouret is serving up a Christmas menu of flavour and contrast. Start with beetroot gravadlax served with horseradish potato salad, then be tempted by mains such as medallion of beef. Leave room, though, for tempting desserts, cheeses and coffee to finish.
Where: One Twenty One Two restaurant (capacity 45), with an adjacent room, for between 8 and 26 covers, which can be used for private parties.
We love it because… it’s AA Rosette food in spectacular surroundings.
