Brides bed down at Hilton Birmingham Metropole

The Hilton Birmingham Metropole recently played host to 10 blushing brides-to-be, as part of a new reality TV programme to be aired in February.

The 11-part Brides on a Bus, hosted by David Van Day, will follow the hopeful brides as they compete to win a Gretna Green wedding – from a stunning bridal gown to the Rolls-Royce transportation.

The brides will travel on a double-decker bus from Land's End to Gretna Green, completing a variety of challenges on the way, from cheese-wrapping to sheep-herding.

Patrick Stapleton, general manager of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, said: “We’re very used to hosting large-scale events and weddings, and having the Brides on a Bus hopefuls staying at the hotel was a lot of fun. We wish them all every success with their weddings!”
