Strand Palace Hotel celebrates green award

London’s Strand Palace Hotel has seen its commitment to environmental policies officially recognised with a Silver award from the London Development Agency’s (LDA) Green Tourism for London scheme.
The West End hotel has been following an ambitious green drive, which has included displaying greater efficiency in waste management, energy and water consumption. In addition, the policy has been widely communicated to all staff, suppliers and guests.
“We’re delighted to have been awarded Silver in the Green Tourism Awards,” commented the hotel’s general manager, David MacRae.
“CSR is an important consideration for any business, and we are working hard, together with the advice that the LDA scheme provides, to ensure that we operate in a continually improving green manner.”
The hotel has benefited from a multi-million-pound refurbishment in recent years, and recently celebrated its centenary year.
