Rezidor opens Park Inn Palace Hotel in Southend-on-Sea

Rezidor has added to its rapidly expanding portfolio with the recent opening of the 137-bedroom Park Inn Palace Hotel in Southend-on Sea. This is the group’s 90th Park Inn hotel, and its 26th in the UK.

Located on the Western Esplanade of the seafront, the six-storey hotel is housed within an impressive conversion of the much-loved ‘Palace’ building. While much of the hotel reflects the Park Inn brand, the £25 million conversion also incorporates many features of the original Palace Hotel, which closed over 40 years ago.

Business guests can enjoy the hotel’s six meeting rooms, all with natural daylight. The large ballroom is divisible by two and will accommodate up to 280 delegates theatre style, and 200 for a banquet. In addition, a stylish private dining room (pictured) offers spectacular views out to sea, with a mirrored wall allowing diners seated on both sides to enjoy the scenery.

Rezidor opened its first UK Park Inn hotel at London Heathrow in May 2004. The brand now operates across the country, with locations including London, York, Nottingham and Harlow. Park Inn Aberdeen is due to open in the summer.
