Venue of the week: Expotel Collection’s Newbury Racecourse
Just occasionally you come across a venue that’s ideal for conferences and events – with something extra that makes it rather special.
The Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire is a perfect example: as well as offering year-round, top-class racing, it has the largest and most flexible event accommodation in the M4 corridor. Where else can you combine a half-day conference with an afternoon at their races in such stylish and adaptable surroundings?
Whether it’s an incentive, a dinner, an exhibition, a small meeting or a large-scale conference, the Newbury Racecourse is a unique location
Whether it’s an incentive, a dinner, an exhibition, a small meeting or a large-scale conference, the Newbury Racecourse is a unique location. The purpose-built glass-fronted Grandstand was designed by Norman Foster, and features superb facilities for conferences and dinners. And the completely pillar-free ground floor of this award-winning building has more than 1,000m2 of exhibition space.
The Royal Box has a very different in atmosphere, but is equally impressive for more intimate events. Both of the two large main rooms have been elegantly furnished maintaining many of the original 1907 features, making it perfect for boardroom meetings, client meetings and dinners.
The Hampshire Stand has two suites: the Lambourn Suite is ideal for drinks receptions and buffet lunches, while the Hennessy Suite has capacity for 300, theatre-style, and 350 for drinks receptions. Both suites have fabulous views over the racecourse.
The Berkshire Stand has 40 rooms over four floors, with Wi-Fi access throughout, making it an extremely flexible space.
Outside there’s more than 360 acres of beautiful countryside with picnic spots, an 18-hole golf course and free parking for up to 3,000 cars.
