Macdonald enlists award-winning designer for new Windsor hotel

Macdonald Hotels & Resorts has appointed award-winning interior designer Amanda Rosa to transform its newest addition, Macdonald Windsor Hotel.

Due to open this autumn, the £10million development of a former department store will have the quality and finish of a five-star boutique hotel.

“Windsor is such a magnificent setting, and as such I have tried to capture the very best of the quintessentially English surroundings,” said Amanda.

“We aim to create a stylish retreat, with a timeless feel [and] charming, elegant interiors with a contemporary edge.”

Macdonald Windsor Hotel will feature 120 contemporary bedrooms, many of which will have views of the surrounding area, including Windsor Castle and the Guildhall.

There will also be seven function suites for events up to 150 ranging from conferences to private dining, plus free Wi-Fi throughout.
