Award-winning hotel group Jurys Inn adds 23 green awards to its trophy cabinet
Another green hotel on its way: Jurys Inn Bradford opens later this month
Jurys Inn has just received its final gold award – for its new green hotel in Aberdeen – from the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS).
The hotel group has now received gold awards for all 23 of its hotels in the UK; no other UK hotel group has received so many gold awards.
John Brennan, CEO at Jurys Inn, said: “To be awarded 23 gold awards for all our UK hotels from the GTBS is an incredible feat and has not been achieved before.
“Getting everyone at Jurys to help has been essential – the energy, attention to detail and ‘buy-in’ from staff is one of the main reasons Jurys has been able to achieve so many gold awards.”
The 23 green awards are the last in a long line of awards. Over the past two years, Jurys Inn has won:
o Best Independent Hotel Brand 2010 at the Business Travel Awards.
o Eco Hotel Group of the Year and Scottish Eco Hotel of the Year (Edinburgh) at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2010.
o Jurys Inn Liverpool won the Sustainable Tourism Award at The Mersey Partnership Tourism Awards 2010.
o Jurys Inn Aberdeen was named Scottish New Hotel of the Year and Aberdeen City Hotel of the Year at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2010.
o Jurys Inn Glasgow was awarded Premium Budget Hotel of the Year at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2010.
o Most Improved Business Brand 2009 based on the results of market research company BDRC’s annual British Hotel Guest Survey.
