Expotel’s first Independents Showcase ‘a resounding success’

Expotel Collection members take the opportunity to meet booking teams 

Expotel’s Independents Showcase event, which united the Expotel Collection and Expotel booking teams, has been hailed a success.

‘We’re very pleased with our first Showcase event,’ said Mark Bevan, Head of Partner Services at Expotel. ‘The feedback has been great – all the independent hotels and venues who attended the event have been very positive about meeting the Expotel team and finding out how Expotel can help promote them. The event was a resounding success.’

The aim of event, which took place at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium on 21 July, was to introduce the full range of hotels and the diversity of their offering to the Expotel booking teams.

The Expotel Collection has generated more than £2.7m of business for independent hotels and venues since its inception in January and now has in excess of 410 members in its portfolio. 

‘The Collection extends the fantastic range of hotels and venues on Expotel’s books. It allows our customers more choice. While large hotel groups offer a great many things, the Expotel Collection offers access to a broad range of unique and independently owned venues across the UK and overseas,’ continues Mark.

A second event, which will see the remainder of the Expotel Collection portfolio invited, will take place on 24 August at The Point in Manchester, home of Lancashire County Cricket.
