Hotel of the week: Brook Honiley Court Hotel
Set in a peaceful village, the four-star Brook Honiley Court Hotel near Warwick is well placed for a relaxing break, but it’s also just minutes from the motorways that will take you into the heart of Birmingham and Warwick.
With Birmingham Airport ten miles away and Warwick Parkway railway station six miles from the hotel, it’s a perfect place to stay in the Midlands - within easy reach of so much yet so tranquil. This handy location, close to the major motorway network of the M6, M40 and M42, makes it ideal as a conference venue or business hotel.
Located in the Warwickshire village of Honiley, the hotel dates back to the 16th century when it was originally built as a farmhouse. The farm became a pub called The Boot Inn, which is now incorporated into the hotel, conserving features of the original building and maintaining its character. The Boot Restaurant is popular with locals and guests alike.
The Brook Honiley Court Hotel offers 62 en-suite spacious, comfortable bedrooms including single, double, executive and suites, some with unspoilt views of fields and wildlife. All rooms are stylishly decorated and come with great mod-cons, including flat-screen TVs.
Superb conference facilities with a dedicated conference centre provide extensive and flexible facilities in the locality. Perfect for events such as conferences, meetings and product launches, there are nine air-conditioned conference suites and breakout areas, all with state-of-the-art equipment.
The Aylesford is the largest suite and can accommodate up to 180 guests, while the Warwick Suite is ideal for smaller functions and caters for up to 40 guests.
There’s plenty to see and do in the area. There are plenty of good walks in lovely Cotswold scenery, and it is only around seven miles from the historic town Warwick.
Popular tourist attractions near the hotel include two famous and magnificent castles: Kenilworth Castle and Warwick Castle. Both are steeped in history and well worth a visit. There’s always something going on at the Birmingham NEC, while the sweet-toothed will love a trip to Cadbury World.
If you’re after a slice of lively city life, Birmingham is not far from the hotel, offering excellent shopping at Birmingham Bull Ring, plenty of restaurants and bars, museums and other tourist attractions such as zoos and theme parks. And after a busy day – whether you’ve been working, walking or shopping, it’s blissful to come back to the calm and comfortable Brook Honiley Court Hotel.
