Venue of the week – etc.venues, London Victoria

Etc.venue One Drummond Gate Victoria, really is something special – a purpose-built conference, training and meeting venue with a delightful private garden in the heart of London.

Opening in June hot on the heels of the new Paddington venue, which opened in March, it’s the third new venue in six months for this fast-growing company. Like the rest of the etc.venues properties, it is very conveniently situated, at the junction of Drummond Gate and Vauxhall Bridge Road, near to Pimlico underground station and a short walk from Victoria mainline and underground stations.

As well as providing all the characteristic etc.venues hallmarks such as natural daylight, bold contemporary design, in-house chefs and cutting-edge audio-visual facilities, One Drummond Gate also has that newly-redesigned private garden that is ideal for outdoor events such as teambuilding, networking or simply relaxing between meetings.

The inside is pretty impressive too – a main high spec conference suite will hold up to 250, supported by 10 further rooms in a range of sizes. So the new venue will be perfect for all types of event, large or small.

Etc.venues MD Alastair said: “We’ve designed our venues around a simple formula of being easy to get to and great to look at while offering high performance at a low cost. Demand from event organisers for our venues keeps on growing, which encourages us to keep finding new space. One Drummond Gate is the latest example of this – a cracking location, great training and meeting space and the added attraction of a private outdoor area.”

The Victoria property is the latest addition to the etc.venues portfolio, which now boasts 10 flexible, high-specification venues in London and Birmingham.  Etc.venues provides training, meeting, conference and event space for groups ranging in size from two to 500, dealing with 1,300 client companies and over 300,000 delegates every year. The venues are perfect for events from training to conferences, exhibitions, product launches, meetings and management away-days.

As an innovative and fast-growing venue provider, etc.venues has seen sales grow by over 100% since the company was acquired by its management team in 2006, and it was named in the Sunday Times Top 100  Buyout Track in 2009 and 2010.

Etc.venues’ Maple House in Birmingham was recognised as the No 1 Conference Centre in the most recent BDRC Venue Verdict, which independently measured client satisfaction across 200 UK venues.

The company is proud of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) record too; etc.events recently won the HBAA Best Demonstration of CSR and was chosen by Mayor of London Boris Johnson as an example of volunteering among London SMEs.
