Hotel of the week: Rudding Park Hotel
Combining luxury, quality and leisure pursuits, Harrogate’s Rudding Park is hard to beat. It was voted as the top UK hotel at the TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards in 2010 and 2011, so really is in a class of its own.
This privately owned luxury hotel, golf course and spa is set in 300 acres of beautiful parkland within easy access of York and Leeds.
The hotel boasts a total of 90 bedrooms, including eight Suites and Junior Suites, as well as 48 luxury bedrooms located within the new Follifoot Wing, which was completed at the end of 2010.
Spacious, stylish and beautifully decorated, many of these rooms have private terraces or balconies from which to admire the beautiful parkland. What’s more, there are four luxury Spa bedrooms, each equipped with an en suite steam room, spa bath or sauna.
For total relaxation, why not unwind in The Spa, which opened in March this year. You’ll be amazed at what’s on offer: a deep relaxation suite, four treatment rooms (including a hammam), a beauty area, a steam room, an experience shower… the list is endless!
No stone has been left unturned in the quest to delight guests. Rudding Park even has a state-of-the-art private cinema for up to 14 people – making it ideal for presentations, product launches, staff training, post-match analysis or corporate entertaining. There’s even a cinema menu that can be tailored to meet your needs, whether they feature popcorn and hot dogs or oysters and home-made truffles!
And there’s more! Rudding Park is also home to the most comprehensive golfing facility in the north of England, with a stunning 18-hole, par-72 course that runs through the heart of the 19th-century parkland.
Last but not least, the award-winning chefs at Rudding Park’s Clocktower Restaurant have en eviable reputation for creating special menus and events to celebrate the changing seasons. All tastes are catered for, from gourmet cuisine to an al fresco barbecue or a private dining room experience.
