Dartington Hall Hotel

Situated in the heart of the rolling Devonshire countryside, lies a conference venue with a difference.

Based near Totnes in South Devon, the stunning Dartington Hall Hotel occupies a 1200 acre estate bought in the 1920s by visionaries Dorothy and Leonard Elmhirst as the base for an experiment in rural regeneration. The 21st Century Dartington remains true to the ethos of the Elmhirsts, and the place is inspirational, lush and verdant. The hospitality and leisure side is run as a social enterprise to support the trust’s charitable work.

Little wonder that the Conference Centre at Dartington Hall has just scooped a national award for excellence at the Johansens Condé Nast Awards in London! The award falls in the category of Sustainable Hospitality and Corporate Social Responsibility and acknowledges Dartington’s work in these areas.

The Conference Centre is spread over a variety of ancient and modern buildings, which provide a glorious setting for excellent facilities and a range of comfortable, well-equipped rooms.

There are 12 first-class meeting rooms (with fantastic titles such as Ship Studio and Solar) for groups of 6 to 180 people, superb multimedia equipment and internet connection in every room. On top of this, there is a dedicated suite for conference organisers and your personal conference team with full technical support. Plus, you can also hire out the rather awesome Barn Cinema, which can seat 185. Presentations or Prime Time – the choice is yours.

After working up an appetite in the boardroom, delegates can indulge in award-winning food served in private dining rooms or in the White Hart restaurant with its locally source gourmet fare. Set under mediaeval vaults, a flagstone floor, limed-oak settles, roughcast walls and crackling log fire all combine to create an atmosphere of warmth and ceremony.

Round your day off in a seriously comfy room overlooking the magnificent medieval courtyard, or if you’re feeling really flash one of Dartington Hall’s luxury suites.

With a choice of day delegate and 24-hour residential packages, and easy access to Exeter airport the M5, London and Birmingham Rail stations, Dartington House Hotel is not one to miss.
