Rezidor expands its presence in the Emirates
The Rezidor Hotel Group will bolster its Dubai presence with a new property, the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Downtown.
The property is scheduled to open in early
2011. It is Rezidor’s fourth Radisson Blu Hotel in the Emirates – the group
already manages the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek, the Radisson Blu
Residence Dubai Marina, and the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Media City.

‘Despite the slowdown, Dubai continues to have the highest RevPAR worldwide and
is an interesting market for Rezidor - one of our focus areas in the Middle
East. We see a promising potential, especially for business travellers, and the
new hotel benefits from an excellent location near the main commercial areas.’
The Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Downtown will be located on the upper floors of a
mixed-use building located within walking distance from the Dubai Mall and 10km
from the international airport. It comprises 198 contemporary rooms and 22
suites – all equipped with Radisson Blu signature services such as free
high-speed internet access.
Guests will also benefit from an all-day restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a
pub, two bars (including a rooftop pool bar), and a sophisticated Business
Class Lounge. Meeting facilities will include six conference rooms, two
boardrooms, and a business centre.
Dubai Downtown is the new hub of Dubai, hosting top attractions including the
tallest tower in the world, one of the world’s largest malls – Dubai Mall - the
waterfall promenade and Souk Al Bahar. The hotel also borders Business Bay, a huge
project covering an area of six million square metres and designed to be the
new centre of Dubai commerce.
