A belief that excellent customer service is truly at the heart of any good hotel has seen Best Western Castle Green Hotel scoop the Best Customer Care award at the chain's annual gala dinner.
The Customer Care award is assessed from customer letters to Best Western's central office, internal customer feedback auditing and ratings on the Trip Advisor website. Best Western Castle Green saw off competition from 270 other UK hotels to be named the best in the country at the ceremony, held at the Don Carlos Resort in Marbella, Spain.
Independently-owned and family-run, Best Western Castle Green was also shortlisted for Best Venue, an award decided by conference clients and booking agents.
“Customer service is where we can really make a difference to a customer's enjoyment of our hotel,” says Tim Rumney, the hotel's managing director.
“I am absolutely delighted that the genuine care and Cumbrian friendliness that my team puts into our guests' experience has been recognised.”
Keith Pop, Director of Best Western UK, believes the win is well deserved: “The team at the hotel embodies the true qualities and vision of the Best Western brand. The hotel has its own individual personality and character, but its truly outstanding standards of quality and service are universally appreciated by customers and fellow hoteliers alike.”
Best Western Castle Green is a 100-bedroom Lake District hotel, able to accommodate up to 300 people for events.
