Quick response from Virgin Trains
Could paper train timetables and route maps have seen their day?
Virgin Trains seems to think so.
The company, which recently won a top UK customer satisfaction award, has introduced new mobile-friendly versions of its popular pocket timetables and route maps.
To access them on your smartphone, all you need is a free QR (Quick Response) Reader.
Simply scan the QR code on a Virgin Trains poster at your station of choice, and the info will be on your screen within a few minutes.
At the moment you can upload Virgin Trains’ full range of pocket timetables. But from 11 December, you will also be able to access the four Route Guides, giving you quick and easy access to the company’s comprehensive timetable information.
When a new timetable is released, you will need to scan the QR code again.
