Since the beginning of 2008 the Real Hotel Company has opened the purplehotel Glasgow/Airport and appointed Richard Adler as Director of Sales, Marketing and Distribution.
The Real Hotel Company has recently opened their first purplehotel in Scotland, namely the purplehotel Glasgow/Airport. The 103-bedroom hotel is situated just off junction 26 of the M8 only four miles from both the airport and Glasgow’s city centre. The hotel comprises 67 standard rooms, six accessible rooms and 30 executive family rooms – ideal for Mum and Dad and two children, aged 14 and under. The four meeting rooms are perfect for local businesses, meetings on the move or for guests needing space to get a project done. The largest room can accommodate 60 delegates theatre style. All the rooms are fully air-conditioned and the entire hotel is wifi enabled. There are now 11 purplehotels (nearly 1,000 rooms) in the UK with plans for 4,000 rooms by 2012.
The Real Hotel Company appoints Richard Adler as Director of Sales, Marketing and Distribution The Real Hotel Company has signed up Richard Adler as its new Director of Sales, Marketing and Distribution. Adler joins from Rooster PR where he spent two years as Managing Director broadening his PR and marketing experience with a wide range of travel clients having previously focused his career on the sales side of the business. Formerly he worked with top hotel brands including Hilton and Thistle (ultimately Sales & Marketing Director for Thistle with responsibility for launching the upscale Guoman brand).
Based at the head office in Edgware, London and reporting to Chief Executive, Michael Prager, Richard will be looking to drive sales across the board for the 'Real Hotel Company'. "The Real Hotel Company has created an exciting brand with its new offering of purplehotels and the 'no frills chic' concept is great and adds a real edge to the brand," explains Richard. "My key task is to expand the 'purple nation' and drive forward the whole portfolio with strong e-commerce activities."

When not at his desk, Richard can be found spending time with his wife and two children. He is also a bit of a fitness fanatic and enjoys keeping himself in shape playing football and cycling.
