Number of properties: Park Plaza Hotels Limited operates Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts (part of Carlson Hotels Worldwide) and art’otel, a lifestyle brand, in more than 25 hotels located in key European city destinations. A number of committed projects and franchise agreements are expected to increase the number of rooms to more than 13,000 by 2012. The group also manages the five-star Plaza on the River – Club & Residence in London.
Locations: Park Plaza and art’otels can be found in European city-centre locations such as Berlin, Amsterdam, Budapest, London, Nottingham, Leeds, Cardiff, Belfast and Dublin.
Star-rating range: It operates in the four- and four-star deluxe markets.
MICE facilities: Properties are designed for the business traveller. Wi-Fi is available throughout and the majority of hotels offer modern function space ideal for conferences, meetings, corporate events and private celebrations. Hotels in London alone collectively offer more than 80 meeting rooms. The Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London has extensive ballroom space for up to 1,400 delegates.
Latest UK developments: Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London, the largest development to date, opened on 1st March 2010. It is situated on London’s South Bank and boasts uninterrupted views across the Thames to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
